Pregnant while on your travels...

Another astonishing book entitled The Plains of Passage by Jean M. Auel. Whinney the mare has given birth to a stallion named Racer and together with the half-tamed wolf, they will have to make their journey across many unpredictable landscape to reach Jondolar's home.

Many an adventure awaits Ayla and Jondolar, particularly the one encounter with another camp where the womens dominated the whole camp, they took over the men's leadership to lead the camp and despised all men. However, in the midst of the whole episode, Wolf came and saved the day.

The mare was in heat again during this journey and a couple of pages were devoted to taking Whinney back from the herds which she has joined in a couple of times. However, Ayla was reluctant to let go of her and eventually, Whinney came back to her master. While travelling on this journey, both Ayla and Jondolar was mastered the guts and wits to ride on the backs of their horses too.

Towards the end of the chapter, Ayla was pregnant with Jondolar's baby and Whinney the mare was also pregnant too. Ayla was glad that she can share her pregnancy with her trusted friend. Safely the group managed to return to Jondolar's home.
