All About Prayer - G for God's Will (Part 109)

The unreflective person thinks and imagines that when he prays, the important thing, the thing he must concentrate upon, is that God should hear what he is praying for. And yet in the true, eternal sense it is just the reverse; the true relation in prayer is not when God hears what is prayed for, but when the person continues to pray until he is the one who hears, who hears what God wills.

By Soren Kierkegaard

At times and i guess most of the time, i fall into this trap where i instead of being submissive to God's will wants to overturn that and want God to listen to my needs and wants. When God doesn't grant my wishes, i throw tantrums and refuse to listen to God or read his words in the bible. Sometimes, its so hard to bend our ways and listen to God and do his will and so i ask that God will forgive me my sin and allow me to be used as his servant again everyday.
