All About Prayer - G for God's Will (Part 110)

A hasty kind of reasoning may hold that praying is an unprofitable act, because a man's prayer does not really change the Unchangeable: but even if this in the process of time were desired, might not changeable man come easily to regret that he had changed God? The true kind of reasoning is therefore the only desirable kind as well; prayer does not change God, but changes him who prays.
